Christian Financial Day of Giving 2026: Serving Communities Across Southeast Michigan
Giving back is at the heart of Christian Financial Credit Union’s mission to strengthen the communities we serve. Each year, our Day of Giving provides employees with an opportunity to step away from their desks and work alongside local nonprofit organizations that are making a meaningful difference throughout Southeast Michigan.
On October 12, 2026, 177 Christian Financial employees volunteered their time and talents across the region, contributing a collective 531 volunteer hours to support organizations focused on food insecurity, homelessness, addiction recovery, children’s services, animal welfare, and family assistance programs.

Supporting Organizations Making a Difference
Christian Financial employees volunteered at 11 organizations throughout Southeast Michigan, each serving unique needs within our communities.
Forgotten Harvest
Thirty volunteers packed food boxes and sorted fresh food to help families experiencing food insecurity receive nutritious meals.
Motown Soup
Fourteen employees assisted in preparing soup, dip, and bread mixes that support nonprofit organizations across Michigan.
FAN (Face Addiction Now)
Twenty-one volunteers assembled hygiene kits and prepared resources for individuals and families impacted by substance use disorder.
Fleece & Thank You
Eighteen employees helped prepare blanket kits and heartfelt messages for children receiving treatment in hospitals.
St. Vincent de Paul Detroit
Fifteen volunteers sorted donations and organized merchandise to support individuals and families facing financial hardship.
Motor City Mitten Mission
Twenty-four employees worked both at Christian Financial headquarters and Motor City Mitten Mission’s St. Clair Shores location. Volunteers organized donations, created plarn balls from recycled grocery bags, and prepared and delivered 200 lunches for individuals experiencing food insecurity.
Capuchin Soup Kitchen
Five employees assisted with organizing food and clothing donations for community members in need.
McWarm
Five volunteers helped organize supplies that support programs providing meals, clothing, and essential winter services.
Susie Q’s Kids Inc.
Five employees assembled comfort bags and organized donations for children and families facing difficult circumstances.
I Heart Dogs Rescue and Animal Haven
Eleven volunteers supported daily care and enrichment efforts for rescued dogs awaiting permanent homes.
Christian Financial Food Collection Drive
Eight employees organized and delivered non-perishable food collected through the employee Can Art Contest to 11 local churches.
