Elementary & Middle School Workshops (Ages 6 -13)

Wants & Needs

For kids ages 6–13, teaches the difference between things needed to live and stay healthy and things that are nice to have but not necessary (wants).

Money Basics

From hosting a lemonade stand to preparing for college, it is never too early or too late to start teaching kids about money. Practical tips on how children can begin setting up for a financially healthy future.

Digital Money, Apps, & Safety

Students explore how digital money works, including apps, online payments, and basic banking tools. They also learn how to stay safe online by protecting personal information and recognizing common scams.

Understanding Accounts & Cards

Introduces the basics of checking and savings accounts, along with how debit and credit cards are used. Students build confidence in managing money by learning how to track spending and make smart financial choices.

Reality Fair for Kids (2 Hours)

Students step into a real-world simulation where they earn a career, manage a budget, and make everyday spending decisions. This hands-on experience builds early money management skills in a fun and engaging way.

Build Your Own Budget

An interactive workshop to build your own budget! We begin by talking about what a budget is before guiding students through the process. They also receive tips for implementing their new budget successfully.

Discuss emergency savings, saving for goals, and the concept of sinking funds to prepare for periodic expenses. Learn more about different types of savings accounts and how to choose which is best for your needs. Leave with tips on how to build and implement a savings plan.

Participants navigate real-life financial scenarios by budgeting for housing, transportation, and daily expenses based on income. This helps adults decision-making skills and gain confidence in managing their finances.
